Does Anything Matter?
-Opinionated

Introduction
At some point, we all find ourselves questioning the significance of our existence. Does anything truly matter? Eventually, we will all face the inevitability of death — your high school bully, your first love, everyone and everything.
In our lifetime, most of us will experience heartbreak. That breakup can lead to isolation, causing us to miss out on great opportunities that might have crossed our path. In America, the average human life spans 28,835 days, or roughly 79 years. Do you really want to spend a portion of that time agonizing over an ex who wouldn’t spend their days worrying about you?
We often spend countless hours fretting over exams, tests, or the fear of rejection. But with only one life to live, it’s like carrying around a ticking time bomb. If you knew your time was running out, would you waste it bed-rotting, or would you make the most of what you have left?
Pondering
Pondering involves realizing and acknowledging that everyone has their own set of problems and their own little world. Even if it seems like someone deeply cares, often, they don’t. Coming to terms with the fact that you’re not the only person with issues can be liberating, both physically and mentally.
Beyond
There are countless universes, vast seas, and endless opportunities for exploration. Why remain in the same place your entire life? Why not leave the small town where you grew up? Why not travel to another country and try new things? Why not ask out the girl you noticed at the bar? Why not…?
You don’t need to be rich. You don’t need to conform to society’s standards. You don’t need to go to college right after high school. Take a few years to breathe, figure out what you want to do, and truly live. What does America think?
